Franklin D. Niver, DMD, MScD

Dr. Franklin D. Niver was raised in New Jersey and earned his bachelors degree from Rutgers University. He attended dental school at the University of Pennsylvania where he received his DMD degree and graduated with multiple honors in 1966. Dr. Niver earned his specialty degree in Periodontics at Boston University. Concurrently, he earned a dual specialty degree in Oral Pathology and earned a Master’s of Science for his research in 1969.

He spent the following two years in the United States Army as a Captain and Chief of Periodontics (Fort Benning, Georgia), where he was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service. After the Army, Dr. Niver began his private practice in Sherman Oaks. He taught at the University of Southern California as an Assistant Clinical Professor for ten years.

In 1987, Dr. Niver and his partner, Dr. Robert L. Sobel, opened the first Out Patient Surgical Implant Office in the San Fernando Valley. In 1995 they moved their practice to Encino where they have incorporated the latest technologies including digital x-rays and the first in office CT scanner in Southern California. Together, they have placed over 6500 successful implants. Dr. Niver belongs to all the major dental associations and has been inducted into the three major honorary dental organizations. He loves practicing Periodontics and Dental Implants, has no plans to retire, and is still winning snow ski races! He has now traveled to all seven continents.

Robert L. Sobel, DDS

Dr. Robert L. Sobel was raised in Southern California. He attended dental school at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and received his D.D.S. degree in 1984. Dr. Sobel was selected for a General Practice Residency at the Houston, Texas Veterans Administration Medical Center in 1985. He received his graduate training and certification in Periodontology from the University of Southern California in 1987. He was appointed as a clinical professor at USC School of Dentistry and taught periodontal surgery to graduate students for ten years.

Dr. Sobel is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology, as well as many other professional organizations. He loves to surf, ski, hike, and run; he has two boys, Jeffrey and Michael.

Bryanna C. Hubbard, DDS

Dr. Bryanna Hubbard, was born in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, Brazil, where she practiced Periodontics for over 9 years. Dr. Bryanna Hubbard is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. Moving to the United States she graduated from UCLA School of Dentistry, along with performing residency for Special Patient Care (Hospital Dentistry).

At UCLA, Dr. Bryanna Hubbard specialized in general dentistry for adult patients with complex medical conditions and physical, emotional, and mental disabilities. This includes patients with complex medical conditions such as cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and severe autism.

Beth A. Kageyama, RDH B.S.

Beth has been a dedicated member of our dental hygiene team since 1990. She received her dental hygiene degree from the University of Southern California in 1988. Beth is a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association and a member of an advisory panel within the dental hygiene community. She has been an assistant clinical professor at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry and Dental Hygiene.

Janet Chamberlain, RDH

Janet grew up in the snowy banks of Northern Minnesota. She began her dental career as a secretary in the periodontal department at the University of Minnesota. She then became a periodontal assistant in the private office of the Dean of the dental school, Dean Schaeffer, who encouraged Janet to go to hygiene school. Janet received her dental hygiene degree from the University of Minnesota and worked in dental offices in New York City, Taos, and New Mexico before coming to Los Angeles fifteen years ago. She joined our dental hygiene team in 2007.

Janet’s interests include teaching good oral hygiene, theatre, playwriting, music, scuba diving, pugs, children, and performing as a super for the L.A. Opera.
